olive seeds

hi, i've recently acquired fresh olive seeds from greece and am wondering how to start them. i've been told soaking them in water makes them sprout faster - but they didn't really say how long it takes... i have 2 seeds soaking for a week now but nothing still.

any advice on how to make them germinate?
