BS lawn mower bought 2011 7.00 Platinum
blows and leaks oil need to top up oil every cutting
replaced 1 drive wheel-gears broke
1 week ago intake valve stuck had taken bottom end off at this time to replace sump gasket as well
ran for 1.5 hours and stopped again
stripped down totally as the top crank seal was blowing huge oil now , but see no reason why it is not running

well the top journal and top crank race are soooo rough and there is quite a line cut from where the oil seal sits I am not sure a new oil seal would even work here
the old oil seal feels fine not burnt or ripped

question i am hesitant to add more parts with the damage to the block and crank, being the very top of the motor it must get starved for oil so is this type of wear normal ? the bottom end housing and crank are perfect
