After recently moving into this home, my husband and I wanted to update our 90's style kitchen. We weren't able to do a complete reno due to other projects that we have going on in the house. We were going for an updated modern look. We painted the cabinets dark brown, replaced the hardware, purchased new appliances, replaced counter tops, new flooring and painted the walls. Before doing so we made sure everything matched and worked and I was very excited to see it all come together. I love how the cabinets came out however, once I started painting the walls, the color looked pink(not what I was going for at all). Repainted.Soon after that the counter tops where delivered and installed. That too didn't turn out how I had thought. It is a much busier pattern than expected. Almost looks to have a leopard print to it. Again not what I was going for. The backsplash that I had picked out was a mix of beige and brown stone and glass(cane style). The stone in the backsplash seemed to have a pink tone to it now too. I am so disappointed that everything turned out wrong. I am stuck with the counter tops now but can't seem to find a backsplash that will work. It can't be to busy due to the busy countertop. Any ideas? I included a picture before and after. Sorry about all the stuff on the counter tops.
