This summer has been even wetter than last and it has played havoc with the orchids. La Nina, Global Warming...sei la! Worst affected have been the Cattleyas, many of which have developed rot. A lot will end up in the bin. It's also been a field day for the snalis. Worst affected plant: Phalaenopsis. Those thick crunchy leaves are just too tempting. Just thought I would let you know, in case you think we have it all our own way...
