The big con is that it retains moisture, so if you have outside or under shade-cloth growing areas and there are periods of heavy rain you might lose plants.
Good for some orchids as an addition to the mix.
No one around these parts have their Cymbidiums in coco peat.

Thanks for your reply. I have my orchids in my patio (East facing). Where it get the morning sun until 11:00 am. The rain does not fall on my plant.

Also if i were to use Coco Peat what more should i add to the mixture. Right now i am in Nepal and here i don't have access to fir bark, perlite, or any other commercially available potting mix for orchid.

BTW the orchid that i have are planted are plotted in dried leaves, some rock, charcoal, 20% garden soil and coconut fibers (not coco peat).

The mix you explained for all your other orchids minus the soil sounds good to me. :)
The key is to keep them evenly moist in a porous medium but not wet.

Your plants certainly look healthy and happy. I wouldn't recommend coco peat, but if that's what you've been using, it seems to work for you. 'If it aint broke...

Also was considering using tea as a natural fertilizer for orchid this spring. What do you guys think?

Yes it is true that cocopeat is an excellent growing medium because it has property of holding water. This will help you orchid to grow faster.
