You know of this Victor Hugo's poem ending with "the eye was in the grave, watching Cain" ? It's the end of the story about Cain feeling so guilty after he killed his brother Abel that he can't escape the eye symbolizing his guilt.
Well I just narrowly escaped kimmsr's eye.
I was at the supermarket and my hand grabed some poison to kill all those ants that nurse billions of black aphids on my 12 violet artichokes.
But I felt kimmsr's eye on me.
The poison stayed on the shelf in the supermarket.
I slept better without any eye on me.
Poor artichokes got hosed again this dawn.
If they end rotting, I'll send Kimmsr their eye ;-)
Oh, kimmsr, the ants thank you.
Although my neighbors don't, fed up as they are with the noise of pressurized water on artichoke leaves at dawn !
