Blogs

All of my quotes from last week came from blogs. It shows that you don't have to be famous to have an interesting thought.

Anyway-do any of you blog? Or, do you have favorite blogs that you follow that you would like to share?

One of my favorites is Jennsylvania. "Home of the bitter", she's very funny.

I have been blogging on a triathlon forum. It's mainly to record workouts, but many people blog a bit of their lives and thoughts. Some connect their "real" blog to the tri site.

I haven't gone looking much as I actually resolved to spend LESS time on the computer and more time in my sewing room.

I sometimes go to this one:

and of course I visit this one - though Suzanne hasn't updated it in a while:

Suzanne's of course. I love the church and car pictures. I have a hard time looking at the desolate landscape in late winter, but her parades and hometown celebrations make it more joyful. Liana's paperdolls. Love, love, love, eating, cooking, and baking blogs. Dessert first, she references a blue million which are also good. Both The Dinner and Ramen Chronicles, written by a cooking forum member right here. BECAUSE I SAID SO. I love her take on life. She's the one with the 6 kids who stays covered in lost food, a dirty home, and very happy family. She has guts, love and now, glory!

I have a few that I frequent every day.

Well, Sars is hard to explain unless you are familiar with TWoP. But I like her writing, particularly when she's talking about her cats!
My favorite is the one from right after she got her Roomba!

Two others from TWoP who pick on celebrities for their poor clothing choices. It's fun and snarky!

If you watch The Office on NBC, you are probably familiar with Mindy Ephron. She's a contributer on this blog.

I don't visit this one daily, but I think the un-toons that this guy does are pretty neat (if not kinda creepy).

And this one is my favorite. It's a blog by a girl (ok, a woman now) I went to school with (from 5th grade - 12th grade). She's got he cutest kids ever. Oh, and I went to school with her husband too, actually.
They travel because of Paul's job. They've lived in quite a few different countries. I love looking at the photos. They are back in the states now, but have previously lived in Spain, ...and I can't remember where else. lol

And this one isn't so much a blog, as just a website that cracks me up for some reason.

Tisha, Notfoolinganybody.com, cracks you up for some reason? Cause it's freakin' hilarious!

    "BUSINESS:
    Scarborough Funeral Centre

    LOCATION:
    Eglinton Avenue East,
    Scarborough, Ontario

    USED TO BE A:
Pizza Hut...and before that, a Ponderosa!!!

    CREATIVE INTERPRETATION:
I guess the direct chain from fast food to funeral home is sort of uh, poignant. (Pizza Hut, please don't sue me.)"

    BUSINESS:
    Gilstrap Chiropractic

    LOCATION:

    Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

    USED TO BE A:
    KFC

    CREATIVE INTERPRETATION:
Um, Mr. Gilstrap... I don't know how to tell you this... but there's a giant bucket of chicken attached to your sign! Winner of NFA's "Most Audacious Conversion" award, hands down.

Hi guys! Just checking in on a Saturday evening.

I'm still blogging away, but after three years of posting photos I needed to take a creative break. The photoblog didn't lend itself to much writing beyond a discussion of the photograph. The past winter was unusually brutal and the photos just dried up. When that happened I decided to go "inside" for awhile and created the sister blog, "At Home with the Farmer's Wife". I've been showing people how to make butter, posting updates on the antics of the MIL (known on the blog as the "Other Mother").

Mr. Suzanne can now actually be categorized as a farmer because he's CFO and General Manager for one of the largest fresh herb operations in the country. We're still traveling when we get a chance, most recently to St. Croix and Huatulco, Mexico in the fall.

I truly wish I had more time to spend here but unbelievably I've never been so busy as when I left my job at the newspaper. Be sure to check out my list of links on my blog, there's a lot of interesting reads there.

    HI EVERYBODY...I MISS YOU.

This guy is a teacher and his perspective about his students and their activities just cracks me up. His struggle between professionalism and reality is spot on. I teach too, so I guess that's why I read it and get it.

Nice to see you drop in Suzanne. Need to check the new part of your blog.

This one is quite large, almost overwhelming and has links galore. If you like off beat, SciFi, obscure or just plain silly this one will keep you occupied. There are many contributing authors and lots of pictures are included.

Tisha, I haven't seen it before, but I really liked it loads, thanks for showing us.

Hey Suzanne! Good to see you. Thanks for the new link and enjoy being "retired" ((wink, wink)) from the paper.

Maymo, that blog is hilarious. I have had tears running down my face off and on all morning. I actually had to do WORK so I could stop laughing.

Suzanne: I sent a link to your blog for my sis....I think she'll love your cake plate demo.
