basal keiki
I had some pretty bad crown rot on my phal, but it was a gift and I didn't have the heart to chuck it even though it was down to one leaf. It still had some healthy roots, so I decided to wait and if it REALLY died, then I'd chuck it.
Two days ago the last leaf fell off, and now it's just a brown stump in a pot. I decided to dispose of it when I got the chance, but when I picked it up I noticed what I'm pretty certain is a basal keiki. It's got two really tiny leaves (currently ~1cm). I'd really like to save the plant if possible, but I'm pretty new to orchids, what should I be doing for the keiki? Does it need smaller bark?
