Nice house. I like the roof lines, too, & would not change. I'd keep the brick as it is. Photo below would be nice colors for your house. All trim including horizontal boards below roof lines white, shutters black, garage doors & siding gray. Is front door natural wood or painted? Color on your siding is good, you don't need to repaint. Side door paint same as siding so it blends in. Paint gutters in color to disguise. If they are over siding paint gray, if over trim paint white.


White plantation shutters will enhance all front windows. They'll add brightness to the windows & subtle detail to house exterior. Weed killer (Roundup) on driveway weeds. The area under the right bay: plant low growing shrubs (all same, like India hawthorne w white flower). Shrubs that will not grow too tall, you don't want to hide the brick, a nice feature of your house. The left garden area: Mondo grass, miniature Japanese maple & low growing cypress as in photo. Large black urn(s) to side of front door. Low growing cypress around brick / light area.

Rather than paint your brick, consider a warm gray/green exterior to complement the red brick and definitely extend that color to your garage doors to make them less prominent. I would also recommend removing the black shutters as they seem the wrong scale for your house. As suggested by j222b, upgrade your landscaping and consider a flush mounted pillar light.

I'd keep the brick as it is and go for a charcoal gray for the siding. I think charcoal and red brick look fabulous together.

I agree, a darker color gray on the siding would look good. Painting the garage doors including the walk-in door the same color as the siding would take the focus off of them. Then paint the front door a lighter color such as yellow or cream would draw attention to the entrance. I think part of the problem is lack of landscaping. One thing I really like about your home is the arched windows and doors. Perhaps a wider trim would accentuate them. Do remove the shutters.
