Hope you are not confusing your orchid with other types of Dendrobium.

Not an orchid to be grown in a bathroom!. In fact an easy orchid that may not be so easy in Zone 6.

An orchid that does not like glasshouses here in a climate similar to San Diego.
So seek out instructions that relate to climates in the USA with cold winters.

There's really good information on this orchid on orchidweb.com. They go into a lot of detail on temp, watering and light requirements. I never got into nobiles because of the strict requirements. Just go to that website and search for the name of your orchid.

Here in New Jersey zone 6 in the fall and winter I grow my nobile dens dry in a sunny cold west window and outside in the summer in as much sun as they can take. I fertilize and water them well all summer and when they come in for the fall I start tapering off the fertilizer and stop at the end of August and then taper off the water and stop by Thanksgiving. After that baby sips only to keep them from shrivelling too much until they bloom, then resume fertilizer and water. I love growing nobile dens. What other orchid can you ignore all winter and still get such beautiful blooms?
