Well, if you are adventurous, you could try taking the very tip of the root & using it to clone the plant. The only thing is you need sterile rooting medium, test tubes, sterile work area, Ph meters, etc. to make it work. As for rooting a new plant from the root, I'm afraid you are out of luck. If you should ever cut away parts of the bare stem from the bottom of the Vanda (i.e. the bare bottom where the leaves have all faller away) then as long as there are one or two viable roots, you could put a drop of Kiekie Pro onto the stem, keep it watered & in medium light; you should see a new plant developing from the cut stem in a month or so.
