Phal on the decline?

Hello all,

I have a phal that was given to me almost two years ago. It was healthy and in bloom, and as these things go the blooms shriveled and fell off eventually and the stem turned brown so I cut it down as close to the leaves as I could.

My experience with previous orchids is that it would go into a dormant period and eventually grow a new stem. But it hasn't.

I didn't give up on it, but I do have to admit that I've neglected it a bit - not enough light, not enough watering, for the better part of the last 6 months. It has done surprisingly well despite my lack of attention - leaves are green and full, roots look healthy. So I've decided to move it outside, since the temps are nice and it's been humid lately. I water more than usual because it's really hot and the mulch dries out after 3-4 days, but otherwise it's in the shade and seemed content to be there.

Now one of the leaves is turning yellow on the edges and is starting to warp. I think I'm going to lose that one, and it's one of the oldest ones, so that might be ok...or not. My knowledge of orchids pretty much stops at watering, feeding, and impatiently waiting for new blooms.

Can someone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong? Too hot? Doesn't like being outside? Will it ever flower again?

Thanks for your thoughts
