Hi all -

I just got done reseeding a few large patchy areas of existing grass and I've got a cat who is digging up these areas at night. I have crushed up some mothballs (don't have moth flakes and don't want to leave the balls around for kids). This seems to be doing the trick.

I have also read that mothballs won't kill grass.

However - my question is: does anyone know if it prevents grass seed from germinating?

If so - any other ideas to keep this cat away from my lawn? (btw - I thought it was a skunk at first - but it's a cat - I caught him in the act)
