This year has been a lot of "firsts" for me. I have aerated and reseeded (2" tall KBG mix by now) and plan to do a final fall/winter fertilization before the first frost. My question is about crabgrass. I used a pre-emergent this spring and did two spot herbicide applications for problem areas during the middle part of the summer. It all helped, but certainly did not eliminate the weed.

What would you recommend I do now in Mid-October? It has been a very mild fall in these parts. Could I spray Trimec before the final fertilization to help next year or would that screw up the newly reseeded grass that is coming in nicely?
