My eyebrows dropped

Yes, they did. An ocular plastic surgeon told me that the other day. My doctor sent me to him to see if my drooping eyelids were interfering with my sight,

He said no, they hadn't drooped far enough yet but that my eyebrows had dropped, which wasn't helping.

So no little laser lid tuck for me, no eyebrow lift.

I wonder if Cap'n Crunch wears his eyebrows on his hat because of a brow lift that went wrong?

Marda, you took the words right out of my mouth...

I'm almost envious of an old friend who wrote that her opthamologist had recommended an eyelid tuck because her eyelids had dropped almost to the point of intering with her vision. She said the procedure was painless and she looks ten--well, maybe five--years younger. At my visit in July, I asked my doctor about it, but he told me my lids hadn't dropped enough. :>(

Imagine getting a face lift and having insurance cover it!

Medicare will cover it too, if your lid is, literally, covering half of your eye.

Shelia, this is something I've never heard about. What is causing it?

Gravity is the bringer of old age.

    Arthur C. Clarke.

It's hypothesized that if one grows up and live in zero gravity then the aging process is greatly retarded, effectively lengthening the life of those who live free of gravity.

I hadn't heard of it either Andie! Michael is correct, it's part of aging for some people. I don't have bags under my eyes - I have them over my eyes LOL. Somehow I guess the skin stretches and your lids begin to droop. For some people the lid is literally half way down over the iris and so vision is impaired. I'm nowhere near that yet, my doctor is just a hypochondriac (I'm not kidding!).

Otherwise, the plastic surgeon would have taken a little laser tuck. As for my eyebrows, I guess they lowered for the same reason...aging.

And Cap'n Crunch does have his eyebrows on his hat.

And now I'm going back on my break after this exciting day at the GP:)

LOL.. I had to get out a mirror to check. Eyebrows and lids seem about right. Maybe it's all that skeptical eyebrow lifting I do that helps. Smiles. Christy is always commenting on how my eyebrows comment even when I try to keep my lips shut. ;]

I always look at eyes when someone talks to me, they sometimes negate what the mouth is saying. Sheila, there are a couple of mature actresses with heavy lids, and actually they wear it pretty well.

I once went to a GP who looked up my nose for some reason, and got really excited. He said "wow, that's the most deviated septum I've ever seen!" I've had my nose broken at least twice, once from falling from an apple tree, where I was hanging upside down from a limb by my knees. If you look at my profile, my nose turns up when view from one side, and doesn't when viewed from the other. He told me straight away that he could call a surgeon and have it fixed, and as long as he was at it, could get creative and give me any nose I wanted. It was tempting, but I still have my same nose, deviated septum and all. I have seen people fresh from a nose job and they can have it, cute little bob or not.
