Thanks Nick. So their hormones are all screwed up. I got some rebellion " kids".

My Twinkles are all spiking. They usually do this time of year, but don't bloom until until Dec/Jan

Actually, my white Twinkle has been blooming for a couple of months. Now my red Twinkle is just now sending out spikes, a good bit of them too. Poor plant does have a lot of sunburnt leaves though. Had it in the wrong place and didn't realize it. I don't want to jinx myself...but I also think I've got some cattleya spikes on plants that I've not had before.I'll try to post pics if they really are spikes.Good growing everyone! gb

Hi, Jane, Dec/Jan sounded right. Mine was blooming before or after X'mas. But I don't recall it take 5 months for the spikes to grow. Mine are grwoing pretty fast, another month or so should see the flowers.

gb, it sounded like this year , many of our "kid" got hormonal disordered syndrome. My another Catt. " Mother's Favorite" which is supposed to bloom around Mother's day has spike now and is going to bloom in 2-3 weeks. It has to be somthing to do with this crazy weather and temperature we had in the past 6 months.

Just discovered a spike on a phal that has been inside @ my work for over a year. Hasn't been outside for all the time but I guess it has gotten enough of a temp change to start spiking. gb
