Can you put it outside in the shade? Might be a better choice since you are in zone 9.

They tend to grow sideways and sprawl, something like a ground cover. Don't worry, it will branch when it gets bigger, and it will eventually form a nice mound. They're slow getting started from cuttings, so don't cut it back. They thrive in low light and warm temperatures, and outside even in Florida might be too cold at night, and might be too bright even in shade.

Thanks for the info from both Jane and Dave. I had a plant many years ago and it was growing well in the house, but never flowered. I put it outside on the patio in back yard under the roof. It got morning sun and started to bloom. I was trading lots of plants here on GW, and eventually, I think I just cut it too much. It died on me. Now I have this cutting, and I don't want to loose it. I think I will keep in under lights on my plant stand with all my African violets. I'll be patient and not cut it. LOL.
