How many fish??

Hola mi amigos!

The liner has been sealed. As I have SOOO much left over sealer, I am using it to attach rocks to the side of the liner, hiding it for good. Now my question:

The preformed base pond is 125 gallons. It is 18 inch deep, with a small 12 inch shelf. The stream and waterfall consists of a small pond at the start of it, around 2 foot or 18 inches, with the rest of it 1 foot. This expanision in my guess will add around 100-125 gallons easily to the overall gallonage. The problem is, the fish cannot swim into the stream from the pond vice versa as it is designed. I could add fish to both separate part though. Right now, I am concerned just about putting fish in the lower pond, where the lily will be located. The stream gets partial sun to shade around the pool. I was hoping to grow some water hyacinth, but maybe will try hydroponic impatiens instead. Any advice for them? Just wash off the dirt and stick in gravel? Anyway, I get diverged quick lol. How many fish can go int the lower pond? Will having the additional gallonage help the total amount of fish I can add. BTW: I can not overwinter these fish outside. I will purchase feederfish, although my local pet shop sells nice white and red comet fan tails for 6 for 1.25. Should I get 6, thinking not all will survive anyway. I still have to pay 1.25 btw for less. Could I get a little koi too, maybe it will stay small since the pond is small? Also, I have 1 20 gallon long and 1 30 gallon long to overwinter these. I really dont want to set up anything else. I know the goldies could get big, but am hoping over a very long period. I also know people who could overwinter them in tanks in worst case scenerios.
