Phalaenopsis oops?
I have had a lovely Phalaenopsis for over a year (almost 2). When I got it, it had a small little bud on one of the nodes that I expected to either form a Keiki or flower spike, but has yet to do anything of note. After the buds fell, I trimmed it and it is still quite healthy, but that bud continued to just do nothing. I went on vacation and gave it to a friend to tend to. She used orchid fertilizer on it and it appeared as though it was not doing well. One of the leaves started to wrinkle. I nursed it back to full health, but now my orchid has a bud on almost every node. I don't know if it is going to bloom or give me keikis, or just wither and die! Are that many buds (5-6 on 2 stems) harmful?
