Love green flowers!! Waiting for that green "minicatt" to show up one of these days. The ones out now aren't mini enough for me. Good job Gary. I have most certainly had more sheaths pop up on my catts this year, but I think I helped them out w/ supplementing brighter light this last winter. gb

Hi, Gary, Very nice green Catt. What is the name of it?

Beautiful, Gary. I'm still trying to figure out Florida growing and notice your plant is hanging from some lattice.

Can you share your exposure and whether you are using shade cloth?

Wish i did know the name . It was given to me by a neighbor in 1982 along with 10 other orchids all noids
Still have 5 of them. Odd but those without names seem to grow better ??lol
jane that is a modified screen room attached to the SE corner of the house . The lattice is a 4' vinyl, supported by 2x2's between the aluminum frame. I grow vines on the roof as well as several trees pruned back in fall, usually too much shade lol. This particular one is growing in 1/2 inch crushed lava rock with styrofoam on the bottom to reduce the weight. in a coconut fiber lined metal basket . I aim for "dappled direct sunlight even direct sun up until noon. You can certainly hang the baskets in trees . i"ve even grown catts directly on several trees but tough to provide winter protection.
not to mention hurricanes lol gary
