Orchid Humidity in Sun Room

GoodDay,

I have just inherited about 30 orchids of all types from my dad's greenhouse after the house was sold. I want to be quick in their transition. I have a sunroom with east light and a long table. Heat will be available for winter although I understand 60 degrees will be generally ok. I am investivating humidity trays -- and their value. Some are stones in water under plants. I was also looking at trays for sale with gridded tops so no mess watering. I've read about misting and humidifiers. There is a ceiling fan in the room. I am an LA but orchids are a new learning curve.
I am thinking trays where plants sit on top make the most sense.. All comments welcome.

Do a search on humidity trays using the search box on the top of this discussions page. The consensus is that they are fine for catching water.
Have you got a humidity gadget?
As far as growing anything indoors, no idea apart from Phalaenopsis and they are a struggle here indoors or out.
The "sun room" is upstairs and nothing much would have survived up there the other day when the max outside was 37C and the outside humidity at the same time was 7%.
So you need to take into account the daily/annual temperature ranges in your growing area as well as the humidity.
This room has conditions very different to the glass houses and shade-house down the yard.
