Where to buy different varieties...

I live in NE PA and i'm trying to find different varieties of orchids. I can only find Phals. I have no problem with phals i love them but I have about 15 or so of them. Im trying to avoid purchasing online cause sometimes your not real sure what your going to get.
Ive tried lowes, home depot, walmart, local grocery stores and local garden centers. Do different types come out in different seasons? Any ideas?

On-line is fine provided you find a reliable source.
Another way to go is to find your local orchid society and ask them.
Lowes etc. etc. etc often have quality orchids, but the Genera range is limited and many plants do not have name tags.

And join the local society. Frequently at our monthly meetings we invite speakers that are growers. They bring plants for sale. Our group has 2 orchid auctions per year. We have an annual show with 10 grower/vendors. And local knowledge is the best advice.
