It seems fine but plants readily do that when watering conditions are sudden or not enough during growing but let it be. This will go away when phals get older with new leaves. So in short its fine unless it changes color or firmness.

Thanks Greenthumb, but this is the second leaf up. The plant looks ok otherwise putting out new roots and a new leaf as you can see I also repotted over a month ago in new bark mix(I am trying to repot all twenty with bark mix for the new year) and clear pots I order them on line can't get them here. As I said I used phyton so I hope whatever it is will stop here. I think the clear pot will be much better to catch a problem sooner. But its just so frustrating, each time you think you have them figured out a new problem pops up :( anyways I am in this for the long haul. I REALLY LOVE ORCHIDS. The dead leaf at the bottom is normal. It's just losing one so it can grow another. Mine get all kinds of bug bites and spotting from being outside for the summer, but they bloom and multiply, then I bring them in and they get pretty over the winter, just to go back outside and be plants again. They're like kids. You like them clean but they love to get dirty, and it's perfectly okay.
