I suppose the simple answer is, tidy up the plant by removing dead bits, do a repot into the same mix used for the two Phals pictured in the other post and it should recover given the same growing conditions.

If you want to try sphag and bag you could search for past posts. Just put Sphag and Bag in the search box on the top of this discussions page.

Thank you Arthum. I'm in Zone 6B. I'm not sure why, but my Zone (6B) isn't showing up with my messages despite putting it into my profile and entering in the optional zone part of the message.

In regards to removing the dead parts - I'm confused about how much of the crown I would want to remove. When I look at the bottom left photo I think the crown is dead, but I hesitate when it comes to cutting it off because there are semi-healthy roots extending from it.
In addition, I'm not sure how to address the remaining roots because many have blackened, unhealthy sections closer to the plant than their healthy sections. I can't cut off the dead portion without also cutting off what appears to be healthy root. Thank You

Small pot or shoe, ~Nick ;-) , media of your choice (Spagh, Bark, Rocks...), keep in indirect light, keep warm, water when dry and hope for the best.

There are good roots and I don't really see crown rot in the pictures, there's a pretty good chance of reviving, IMO.

You don't have many roots to start with. So, I wouldn't cut off any more dead roots. Leave the blackened areas that are located on live roots. You might try to repot again in sphagnum; keep it moist (not wet) and keep the humidity high.
