Is there hope or am I glutton for punishment. I witnessed this orchid bloom very close to the condition it is in now this past June. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was strangled in a wooden basket. It was presumed gone so I took it home.I took it out of the basket to see if there were any good roots. There were a few, but not too healthy looking. I trimmed it up and stuck it in moss to try and keep it moist as needed. I was surprised to see the three little nubs of growth coming out. one at the top and two on the sides of one of the canes where it had a little green left. Not sure what they are but they are green. The bottom of the orchid is spongy. Is it trying to come back? Think there's hope? I thought of laying it in moss so the green things growing might produce roots.
