Barn Doors

I live in Richmond VA and I have searched all over for sliding barn doors for my kitchen pantry. Did you order these online? If so, do you mind sharing which website?

We sell sliding barn door hardware. We are located in Idaho but ship our tracks all over the place. Our hardware is very high quality. We offer a variety of styles and finishes. We also specialize in custom orders. If you have a particular color in mind we own a powder coating facility which makes color options almost endless. The wheels on our tracks are unbelievably quiet, eliminating the grinding sound you hear with other tracks that use metal wheels. We see every single one of our products through from start to finish! contact us at http://www.basincustom.com or email us at info@basincustom.com or call 208-261-1270

Hi Jennifer,
Any door can become a sliding barn door. It's a matter of installation technique. See in the picture that hardware above the doors? That's what makes them slide instead of hinges which would make them swing.

The doors you see were probably custom made. Some people use antique doors. Others distress new doors to appear old.

You can also do it with just one door. Look online for barn door hardware. I worked on a cool house where the builder bought actual barn door hardware from a farm store.

For the doors themselves, take a look at nicksbuilding.com and click on their interior doors. There are a couple in the knotty alder that are similar to these. We've purchased from them several times and they will ship the doors unfinished if you'd like or stained and ready to go.
