Last year I left my lotuses in my big pond (or better to say lake) for the winter. The winter was very, very awful. It was -30 degrees F (oops, I forgot to tell you, I'm from Estonia, Europe) and our lake had 2 feet of ice covering. But now, in spring-summer, I'm still watching, are my lotuses coming up.

But then, water got warm and I finally got to see them (they were in quite deep water). I took one lotus pot out of the water and saw: NOTHING, I even dug the soil out the pot, NOTHING!!! What has happened to them? Does anybody know do water voles (Arvicola amphibius - very nasty creatures who eat tulips, potatos, and all plants with tubers or bulbs) eat lotuses? Maybe did it eat all my lotuses? Im not sure? But thanks for all who helps me :)
