This is my first year growing vegetables and am a little concerned. I started my broccoli seed Sunday and they are already up however I noticed the stems and some of the seeds that are just sprouting have a white fuzzy look, none on the soiless mix I am using just the seed and stem area, is this normal.. They are in the basement, I used pro mix and just some of the cheaper starter kits that hold like 75 cells.. I used a heat mat that was running around 70 degrees and I had the top on the starter kit till today. I now have my lights on.. I hope this is enough info to help out..
