Late spring/early summer of 2009 my mom and I bought three types of coleus at a local greenhouse. Only one of them did not have a tag and I fell in love with it right away. It was the only one of its kind at the greenhouse. Unfortunately, the place we were renting at that time had a rain gutter problem above the front flower bed and mostly shredded our coleus. I had moved the three to pots in the backyard where they were flourishing, but two of them disappeared (I suspect small wild animals), fortunately leaving my favorite. Since then I've kept it as an indoor plant (I dont have a garden area at my current rental that wont be trampled by kids) and have taken multiple cuttings from it this past summer. The main plant suddenly is not looking well, and that reminded me I had never figured out what type of coleus it is. I only have one picture of the plant outside taken from my cell phone right after I planted it. Indoors its leaves are mostly green, but the surviving (untrampled) cuttings planted outside have a purple or maroon tint to them. If anyone knows what the name of this coleus is I would really love to find out.
