Fixed the flooded pump box I hope!

After much digging managed to get a drain line in my pump box and under the box to a sump pit. My box had pressure treated 2 x 8 flooring over top of a pond liner that came up the sides of the box. I think the water came in where the skimmer pipe is as is a hole in the liner there. Removed one of the floor boards, cut out the liner and dug a 6" deep trench, filled it with gravel and put a ABS pipe in it going under the box to a culvert type sump pit. Also raised the bigger pump but only 1" for now as this pump's electrical box cord comes out near the bottom of the pump so it doesn't take much water to flood the pump. The pump is whining again so in the fall I guess I'll have to take it to the repair shop again. So much for flooded in ground external pumps. If I were to do it again I'd probably put them above ground.
