Mystery Tree

This tree is the only one of its kind I've ever seen - I think it's very unusual for this area. Local nurseries have been unable to identify it. It's at a Taco Bell, so there's no one on the premises who can help. It's deciduous in Salem, OR, leafing out in June and dropping in late November. It's flowering right now. I'm not sure if you'll be able to see from the picture after it gets uploaded, but it has smooth variegated bark, which takes on rich cinnamon tones near the end of the season. I've uploaded full-resolution images to mike-kelly.us/tree1.jpg and tree2.jpg. Syringa reticulata is the closest I've been able to find with Google, but the bark isn't right and I'm not sure the flowers are quite right either. I want one of these for my yard. Please help!
