Our pond has comets, shubunkins and mosquitofish along with many baby fish of all of the above. But I noticed some fish over the last weekend that don't seem to be any of the above. They are about two inches long, dark grey with a white mask on their face. There is about 3-4 of them and they look nothing like the baby comets, shubunkins or mosquitofish. They also don't hang out in schools like with the rest of the babies and they are much more afraid to come out of hiding than the rest of the babies. The mosquitofish are easy to identify because of their body shape and all my comet babies are some what clear looking with black and some orange markings, but these little masked guys look completely different. Any idea what they are or where they came from?
