I love this old-fashioned wire fence! I rarely see these but when I do they are by very old houses. I don't know if anyone is making these anymore?

yes they do make it. I bought it for my house at the lake. Its called double loop wire fencing. Got mine at American Fence & Supply in Georgetown TX

There's just something very appealing about this. It wouldn't go with my house, alas, but it would look so pretty around an old house, maybe in the country, with an English garden...

Thanks for your feedback. This fencing is a great choice - no maintenance, lots of charm, recyclable. A little folksy - but really appropriate in this setting where 80+ year old fences exactly like this show up on every block. We discarded the idea of white picket fence --- in this case we thought it would stand too proud in the composition and compete with the wealth of white woodwork on the house.

Margie, I have been a silent admirer for years. I even refer my clients to your website! I really appreciate that you provide feedback/answers to questions. I have often wished this style of fencing was available...fond memories of my Michigan days. I have a small design/build firm in s. cal. if I ever have a client moving to Santa Barbara I will happily refer them to you! Keep up the good work!

@Ipeden: thanks for the kudos - nice to know there's a kindred spirit out there! I'd be honored if you were to refer us to your client should they move up to SB.
