don't know what part of the country you are in, but Mike at bender's grove broward country Florida has it. Google it.

I threw 2 star anise seeds in a pot of dirt and left it outside for 8 weeks and they sprouted... Now they are about 6" high. I was surprised myself.

The ones from the culinary section? I think often these things do not grow because they are dried harshly.

I ordered some seeds from Ebay but they failed to germinate:(
