I've got a whole tree you can have :) I can look, but I always prune back the suckers... I'm in the US, so not sure how easy it is to ship to Canada.

Thanks for the reply Frank but unfortunately customs can be very difficult with plants unless all the necessary documents have been filled out (phyto sanitary certificate). It can be such a hassle that most nurseries will not ship cross border, no matter how much you plead with them and tell them that the variety isn't available nor will it ever be available to us canuks here in Canada and you will reimburse them for their trouble. They just simply say sorry not worth it.
I only ever found 2 company's in the US that would ship to Canada and things went smooth across the border , it was just quite costly to get them inspected and documentation. If memory serves me correctly it was $70.00 US at the time.

No Evans in New Brunswick? This would be hard to believe, I would think this cherry had been adapted by now in all of the provinces. Have you checked in Nova Scotia or Ontario?
A local garden center here had allot of them this spring, including some of the new one's, these came from Bailey Nursery. If all fail's I should have some.

Konrad, I have searched on mr.google for nurseries in Canada who will supply and the only one that will ship is the Saskatoon farm just outside Calgary and you need to place a minimum order. All others I have found who do supply are whole sale and only deal with retailers.
I haven't seen any available here at any of the local nurseries or big box stores so I either buy 10 trees or hope someone out there has a lonely sucker that they want to dig up instead of mowing it down with the rest of the grass ha ha ha.

Strange...give me a PM in April or so, I can send you a couple.
