Not quite to your specs, but consider the one developed in Russia called 'Nahdzaida' or something like that. It is more a very pale lavendar blue, double, and the bloom heads are a foot long. It is a vigorous plant.

I thought I had the neighbors from hell. LOL I'm using the common version of lilac on a shady, north-side of my house for a privacy fence and they are taking off rather well. The Maiden Blush aren't as full so I will be sticking to what works for me.
These people have already sprayed Round-Up on my wild berry bushes I kept going to keep their kids out of my yard. They use my house as a backstop for their ball games. Don't you just love neighbors?????

Right after I moved in, like a couple weeks, they built duplexes five feet from my back fence, and on a hill so they can look right into my windows and my back yard. Then the neighbors come out with beer and cigarettes and watch me. The first day they were there, they called the city on me on a weed violation because my grass was getting tall from the heavy spring rains and I hadn't bought a lawn mower yet.

Oh, yeah. Real nice people. Since they moved in, my property values have dropped $10,000.

I want to get a lock on my gate, too. My pansies and viola were blooming spectacularly. Then I found big boot prints in the middle of the patch, and the flowers look like they were sprayed with something.

Anyway, that's why I need real tall, fast-growing lilacs.

Geez, yes, a fence lock would definitely be in order!! I'd plant some picky barberry shrubs near the lilacs just to keep them out before the lilacs get to full heigth. I just bought 9 more lilacs myself. They were only 9.99 at Lowe's and Home Depot. Right now there is a good selection. Lots of Donald Wymans, James McFarlanes. Miss Kims (I don't think they grow very high), Sensations, and something called Presidential Grey. I'm making a wall of lilacs. Good luck with your neighbors. Save your receipts in case they start spraying your plants and you need to make a police report.

That's what I want, a wall of lilacs. Garden Crossings has one, Evangeline, that looks good. It's a double flowered lavender.

I bought 2 but they're only about 3 feet tall I got them off at etsy really good lilac bushes just the really small and wanted to know if they grow fast thanks: )

Fastest growing shrubs I've grown are the larger forms of Hydrangea paniculata. Bloom longer than lilacs, grew from 1' to 8' in 5 or 6 years.
