Hello All
I have a Atlantic BioFalls setup. Since fall is fast approaching I was wondering if I need to clean it out? I have a bunch of media in there including lava rocks and there is a bunch of much on top. I know how beneficial the bacteria in there is and I don't want to do anything to upset the apple cart or my precious fish. I had a problem the other day where my son had drained alot of my pond, but I filled it up and everything seems ok. The water is dirty and not clear like it is, but it's getting better. I have a UV light, skimmer and BD. It's 1440 gallons and I need to go in and clear out the hyacinths later on, but do I touch the biofalls? This is my first year with it and I'm not sure whether I should leave it alone or clean it out? Any help is greatly appreciated! I also plan on letting it run as long as I can. It's been mild winters the last 3 years here, so I don't believe it will freeze up, but I do have de-icers ready to go. Thanks again!
