Will take 24-28 weeks from germination to produce a plant in a 4" pot. Many(but not all) are biennial & will flower the 2nd year

I winter sow mine, but probably will take 2 years to flower.

I direct seeded some this spring, probably in April or very early May at the latest. It seemed like it took forever before I saw anything, but then I had direct seeded a bunch of seeds and as it was my first year gardening, it was a while before I could tell weeds from plants! Right now (it hasn't gotten cold yet here in zone 6, which is really strange, so everything is really green still) they are enormous right now, and I expect them to bloom in the spring. I am going to try winter sowing for the first time this winter (if it EVER gets cold here) and I have been told that they winter sow beautifully.

If you direct sow, it will probably depend on your zone and when you sow. I received some Foxglove/Strawberry in trade and direct sowed in about May, they came up that year and got about a foot tall. The next year (this year)
they got about 3' tall and flowered like crazy, I cut alot off to put in vases and they still flowered and I received
tons of seed at the end of the season. Hope this helps a little.
