I have been trying for two weekends now to get my patio base complete and we keep getting rain. I have the area excavated, but it looks like a big mud pit. What can I do besides wait for a dry stretch of days? Can I add anything to the dirt? We live in northern MN and its mostly clay/sand/rock mix. I plan to put 4+ inches of limestone on top of the sub base soil.
