I use a leaf blower or three pronged cultivator. The leaves are pulled or blown on the grass, allowed to dry for a day, and then run over with the garden tractor using mulching blades. A few passes turns them into very small particles that soon disappear into the lawn.
Leaves that hang on to large nasty thorny shrubs are pulled out with my goatskin glove protected hand or picked from the thorns using a pair of 12 inch tweezers.

Hey Karl, these look perfect for that and I've been searching for something instead of my small tweezers to put bloodworms at the bottom of the fish tank for the fish that can't swim to the top. I've several tanks and don't like to stick my hand and arm in one and then go to another. I know this isn't what you meant but I think I'll get two, dual purpose. Thank you.

Not only do I put leaves run over with the lawn mower around the roses in fall (sometimes just running over the the perrenial bed), but in spring, I rake the rest of the fallen leaves off of the beds and run the same lawn mower over them before putting them back on the beds mulched. They too are mostly oak leaves.
Steve.
