What kind of minnows and how are they getting in??
i keep rosy reds along with GF and have no problem with them .. I do have a LOT of trouble with cane toads . Incredible how they reproduce lol gary

They are native minnows from a local pond. The neighborhood kids caught them and put them in my pond....

I think you may have to resort to a predator fish, sadly. You will never clear your pond of minnows - they breed constantly. I fear you will always have eggs hatching.

How big is your pond? Would it be realistic to empty completely, relocating your goldfish temporarily? Although I've heard tales of minnow eggs drying up completely and then hatching once they are re-hydrated. And your plants are probably infested with eggs, too. Ugh. What a problem!

How about this idea:

Since I recall that comets can tolerate extreme.cold, what if I load up the pond with ice? Will that eliminate the minnows? Maybe those south Florida minnows can't take the cold

what if you stop feeding your fish.. and they eat the minnows???? ... no real idea as to size comparisons here ...

back when i did GF in a barrel... they spawned... but they never grew to size.. as the parents apparently ate their young ...
