Was just curious if anyone on this board is specifically from Louisiana, and has had a HFGH make it throught the hurricanes. My mom just bought one and I am planning to do so within the next month and we were just curious of other's experiences with them.

Kim, I cannot imagine any kit greenhouse surving even 1/4 of a Katrina. Of course with Hurricanes, it depends on how close of a direct hit you are getting. I'm not from LA, but I grew up in So. Texas on the coast and I've been through 2 good blows.

I have the HFGH 10x12. There's no way it would survive a hurricane. When I was putting it together I had the door open and a small gust of wind popped out several panels. I've modified it (thanks to mudhouses's suggestions) and it holds the panels in much better. For the price, I still think it's a great greenhouse.
