There is this nifty tool from the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower center that can help you plan your garden. You can choose what state you are from, soil type, what color blooms, and more to select the best native plant for your garden.

Just go to www.wildflower.org then on the left hand side tool bar click 'explore plants' then click on 'native plants' and explore all the possibilities.
