Can I repair rabbit damage?

This year I decided to plant a bunch of sunflowers in the yard. Everything was going fine until my beagle and I went out of town for the weekend. When I came back half the tops were eaten off my two foot plants. Is there anything I can do to save the plants before they completely shrivel up?
