We plan to smother lots and lots of our grass this summer. My question is, if much of this terrain is going to go unplanted (like behind the garage), is there a lasagna method that doesn't require so many layers? Ultimately they'll be large areas of mulch and in some cases gravel, and of course in the places to be planted I'll do the whole process. Any suggestions?
