Shipping Purple Passion

Hello,

I have several purple passion plants in my home (That I LOVE!!) I have run out of family and friends to give this to (who live nearby). Now I would like to send some to family. If anyone is familiar with purple passion (Gynura aurantiaca)...you will know that the plant can be clipped and stuck right back in the soil to grow again. Is there anyway I can clip a part of the plant and wrap the end w/wet paper towel and bag up that part....then ship it express WITHOUT any dirt? I have no clue if it will survive with no dirt. I'm in NJ and want to ship to florida and arizona...but I am still skeptical about sending my plant in a pot with soil... Any info would help... I might do a test run and send one anyway and see what happens.

Thank for any suggestions!!
