need help rescued plants in crisis

I rescued some mums, mini roses and other assorted perennials that were badly dried out and sorely neglected. They got baked on a deck for many days with no water it appears. They were headed to be dumped out but I thought they are worth trying to save. There is still some green.

Can anyone offer advise on how to best rescue them? Should I keep them in part shade for awhile? Can they go right into the ground where they are going to be grown? I'm sure some won't make it but I would like to save what I can. I soaked their poor roots overnight in water and today was going to cut back all the dead heads and damaged leaves....

any help would be most appreciated.
