looking for flowering shrub/vine suggestions

20 years ago

I have recently purchased a house in Toronto. The front yard faces west-northwest.

There is a downward slope which is covered with asphalt towards the sidewalk. This covering is between two and three feet wide.I would like to plant some cascading/climbing flowering shrubs or vines that will cover the asphalt and am asking for peoples' ideas/suggestions.
