Very enjoyable! thank you, dove_song. I'm not poetic enough to write a story, but I really like the poetic names that Kim Rupert gave to the roses that he created, like "Neon lights", "Indian Love Call", "Purple Buttons" - I prefer these names over Austin roses' names such as "Radio Times", A Shropshire Lad, Charles Rennie Mackintosh - it would be really hard to put these in a story, unless it's about an English family tree.

(Strawberry, it's not that hard -- you can do it!)

Let's continue the story:

Violet passed the DARK NIGHT tossing and turning.

She was still very SLEEPY, but told herself that MORNING HAS BROKEN and got out of bed.

After fixing herself a cup of HOT COCOA, she sipped it and contemplated with whom she might safely share her CONFIDENCE.

Certainly she wouldn't share this SECRET with GABRIELLA. Although GABRIELLA was her BEST FRIEND Gabby was...well, gabby. She well known for her inability to keep quiet about anything. No, confiding this SECRET to Gabby was out of the question!

Violet continued to sip her HOT COCOA while looking out of the hotel's window. A HULA GIRL was entertaining the vacationers.

Wait! She recognized one of them. It was...

WILLIAM R. SMITH...THE GENEROUS GARDENER from DUBLIN BAY! How she wished he would say ALOHA to the HULA GIRL, and his wife KATHLEEN! VIOLET knew she could trust her SECRET with him. When she thought of the day....at mama and PAPA GONTIER's GOLDEN CELEBRATION...when her CAREFREE SPIRIT had her WALKING ON SUNSHINE...ah, little did she know that...

a STRANGER was watching her through a telescope with FASCINATION.

TERROR seized VIOLET at that MOMENT IN TIME as many DARK MOMENTS filled her mind. She promptly ordered an ORANGE BLOSSOM SPECIAL and a CHOCOLATE ROSE, feeling very SLEEPY.

Meanwhile, one of her SEVEN SISTERS, VIOLETA, was ...

(come on, STRAWBERRY HILL, give it a try ...)

WILLIAM had seen that STRANGER spying on her at mama and PAPA GONTIER's GOLDEN CELEBRATION and had called the police. Yes, she could trust William. The STRANGER had eluded the police, and Violet suspected that this STRANGER must know something about her SECRET.

All VIOLET had wanted all her life was LOVE AND PEACE, but somehow it had eluded her. She remembered when WILLIAM R. SMITH had been her VALENTINE in GRANNY GRIMMET'S fourth grade class. They were in LOVE. But that was the last poor VIOLET would know of PEACE in her life.

Her SECRET was THE FAIRY hiding under her bed, waiting to steal her PRECIOUS DREAM about WILLIAM R. SMITH... THE FAIRY was also in love with WILLIAM R SMITH.

The STRANGER that spied on VIOLET earlier was simply lusting after the HOT COCOA that VIOLET was sipping. However, LITTLE BUTTERFLIES came to alert VIOLET of the impending doom ...

Upon AWAKENING from this odd and frightening nightmare Violet realized that it had all just been a DREAM and a bad one at that! She couldn't wait to tell Gabby all about this DREAM...well she would skip telling her the part about Gabby being unable to keep a SECRET. After all GABRIELLA was her BEST FRIEND! ;~)

THE FAIRY, in an attempt to have WILLIAM R SMITH all for herself, concocted a LOVE POTION mixed with OLD PORT. She hoped that VIOLET would drink this mauve curse and fall in love with the first person she meets.

THE FAIRY waited until THE PRINCE, an evil and toothless person came to visit VIOLET. THE FAIRY slipped this mauve curse into VIOLET's HOT COCOA. Fortunately, the STRANGER could not contain his greed, sneaked in, and drank the HOT COCOA. He turned around, saw THE PRINCE, fell hopelessly in love, and followed THE PRINCE all the way to his castle. And they live happily ever after, until THE KNIGHT and THE DOCTOR came to their castle one night ...

These LITTLE DEVILS were hatching a plan to make the PRIOR have a CHANGE OF HEART. The PRIOR was GOOD AS GOLD and he wanted to help the SEVEN SISTER'S evade the terrible curse placed on the HOME AND FAMILY of VIOLET, VIOLETA, and the other sisters.

Much to the delight of VIOLET, VIOLETA, and the other sisters, the PRIOR--bless his heart--had FTD bring a lovely bouquet of roses to them.

However, the PRIOR, not wanting THE PRIORESS to become jealous, had FTD send her a beautiful bouquet, as well.

Meanwhile, the LITTLE DEVILS were NEARLY WILD trying to hatch a diabolical scheme to hurt the HOME AND FAMILY of Violet, Violeta, and the other sisters.

The prettiest sister of HOME AND FAMILY is CHANTILLY LACE. She was kidnapped by the evil witch VERDUN and sold to the toothless THE PRINCE. It was the fault of the babysitters, the god-mothers MARIE PAVIE and MARIE DALY, who fell asleep after eating the entire bag of potato chips.

Since THE PRINCE was happy in the companion of the STRANGER, he locked CHANTILLY LACE up in the tower of WINDCHESTER CATHEDRAL. THE KNIGHT tried to bribe THE PRINCE in giving up this lovely girl, but THE PRINCE wanted SUTTER'S GOLD as a payment.

So THE KNIGHT, FIREFIGHTER, and GENERAL Schablikine scaled to the top of the tower (by climbing on each other's shoulder) to rescue CHANTILLY LACE ...

The LOVELY LADY, CHANTILLY LACE, was overjoyed to see them scaling the tower to rescue her. She blew them a KISS.

Music drifted up to the the room in the tower...it sounded like a ROCK & ROLL song. It reminded her of MEMPHIS MUSIC from her good friend THE PRINCE's father. Yes the king of ROCK AND ROLL. As she started to sing, GOLDEN CELEBRATIONS came falling out of the sky...clunk, clunk, clunk fell the gold pieces. One looked loke a GOLD MEDAL so THE KNIGHT reached for it...but unfortunately...

KING ARTHUR, KING KONG AND the KING OF FRANCE all sent out their tax collectors to sweep up the GOLD COINS. A GOLDEN GIANT came from OVER THE RAINBOW and threw a STRAWBERRY at the KNIGHT and so the KNIGHT breathed his last from being STRAWBERRY CREAM(ed).

Just then, QUEEN ELIZABETH appeared. She was OVER THE MOON with JOY so she did a DANCE OF JOY displaying much AMAZING GRACE and GRANDEUR ROYALE. She was so HAPPY because ...

QUEEN ELIZABETH was so HAPPY because her ARTISTRY dance revived THE KNIGHT. He joined FIREFIGHTER and GENERAL SCHABLIKINE in scaling the tower, but they all fell down in a heap.

THE FAIRY appeared, gave a SWEET PROMISE that she would send CLIMBING PINKIE to reach the tower. But only if VIOLET gives up her true love, WILLIAM R. SMITH, for THE FAIRY to use as her PLAYBOY.

VIOLET had to decide between giving up her LOVE versus invoking the help of her patron saints, ST. SWITHUN and ST. CECILIA. Her best friend, GABRIELLA, came to the rescue. She wanted to use her gift of gab to rescue VIOLET's sister, CHANTILLY LACE.

Putting on her GRANDMOTHER'S HAT, GABRIELLA, started lecturing toothless THE PRINCE, about brushing his teeth before bedtime. THE PRINCE, in SHOCKING BLUE mood, wailed out in desperation, "I can't take this anymore, here's the key to WINCHESTER CATHEDRAL." He tossed the key out of the window, and THE KNIGHT caught it, unlocked the tower, and raced up to rescue his beloved.

It was a DOUBLE DELIGHT for CHANTILLY LACE to be rescued by THE KNIGHT, whom she had a crush on since kindergarten.

And CHANTILLY LACE(S) kindergarten PUPPY LOVE with THE KNIGHT began to bloom into a grown up ROMANCE with him.

THE KNIGHT was certainly FALLING IN LOVE with CHANTILLY LACE. He gave her many, many PASSIONATE KISSES, but his INTEGRITY required him to follow-up on the CHINA DOLL's plea for him to find the WHITE PEARL IN (the) RED DRAGON'S MOUTH to save her honorable father. Yes, he very much loved CHANTILLY LACE and had so since kindergarten, but his deep sense of HONOR required him to first go to...

and find KIM RUPERT because Kim was his honorable BEST FRIEND, and while Kim was creating wonderful new roses in his garden a LITTLE BUTTERFLY had flown onto a clue about finding the WHITE PEARL IN (the) RED DRAGON'S MOUTH!

I almost died of laughing from dove_song's poetic sense of humor. I can't be creative while laughing so hard. Give me some time to regain my composure so I can continue with this juicy novel.

JERI JENNINGS had been in Kim's garden too, along with Cliff Orent and Sean McCann. Sean McCann had flown to the United States from Ireland as Sean's son Ronan was in Spokane, Washington visiting his friend DOVE Song whom he considered as his HOT PRINCESS. Now they all must come up with a plan to help THE KNIGHT on his noble quest!

Lol, thank you, Strawberry! You have been cracking me up, along with everbody else too! This has been sooo much fun. I'm extremely happy that you decided to joined in!!! Thank you all! ((((hugs))) :~D

So Jeri, Cliff, and Sean called THE KNIGHT on the speaker phone and explained to him about the LITTLE BUTTERFLY flying onto the rose WON FANG YON then taking flight again and with it's BUTTERFLY MAGIC it took on a powerful BUTTERFLY GLOW and spelled out the words CHINA DOLL.

"Aha!," said THE KNIGHT. "I think I'm understanding a little bit about this CHINESE PUZZLE! Do you remember when we all went to the music festival in Coachella exactly one year ago from today, on April 17, 2011?"

"Yes, they were awesome!" they exclaimed. "But, how does this figure into this CHINESE PUZZLE?," they asked.

"Well, do you remember that world famous Chinese rock band "New Pants" that played at the festival?," he asked.

"Of course!," they all excitedly replied.

"Well," he chuckled and went on to say, "their popular "Dragon Tiger Panacea" album won Feng Yun Music Awards honors for Best Rock Album."

You see, he added, the rose WON FANG YON was a hint about the band who Won (the) Fen Yun music awards honors for the best rock album in China. Two of the bands founding members, the very talented Peng Lei and Pang Kuan, are the core of the band. And the CHINA DOLL's father the EMPEROR hired them to teach their FABULOUS! artistic and musical talents to...
