Garlic Mustard

Before I know it, the season to rip up the nasty invasive garlic mustard will be here and I will have lots of it (acres of infestation). I hate sending it off to a landfill although I have not completely ruled that out since seed spread is the main issue with garlic mustard. It is also difficult to bag up since the stems retain their stiffness after pulling. Such compost piles as I have are not hot piles and, in honesty, probably never will be. I already have one large pile of garlic mustard debris from last year covered with an old scrap of outdoor carpet. Should I just continue to put the GM under the carpet? Any suggestions on what to do with the stuff would be appreciated.
